Tim spent 9 years in the US Army following high school graduation, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, and non-combat assignments in Asia, Europe and the US. His experiences during his military service profoundly altered his views and values. Most of the ingrained beliefs of youth were swept away, to be gradually replaced with new values treasuring reason, fair play and tolerance, including a high regard for all life and human dignity.

These internal changes continued after military service, when he earned his BS degree in Sociology while working full time as a corporate manager. For several years thereafter, he worked at the managerial level for companies involved in manufacture and marketing, and while he was proficient and generally successful, such employment was not personally fulfilling for him. In 1994, he began his present career in publishing which has evolved into a career as a author, freelance journalist, and photo-journalist. He hopes to soon expand this career to include being a novelist.

A lifelong writer, Tim has published fiction, poetry, and non-fiction.  Tim has edited five books for World Publications. A frequent contributor  to regional magazines, he is the author of four books in the Florida's Fabulous  series: Natural Places, Trail Guide, Canoe and Kayak Trail Guide, and Lighthouses.

Tim is currently well known for his passionate approach to environmental and historical preservation, as well as his love for the Florida outdoors. His work has taken another turn with the creation of novels in which he explores the coming age, loss of love and loved ones, and warfare. Excerpts from the two novels are posted as upcoming books on this web site.

With residences in several cities, Tim considers himself a true citizen of Florida. He is twice and currently married and has a number of cats and dogs for children. When not chained to his computer, he might be found mountain biking or kayaking.
